How the org reward economy works
The Org Economy
DKP (Dragon Kill Points) is Rune Guard's internal reward system — a way to recognize member contributions and give you something to spend on org-managed resources and perks.
System Under Development
The DKP system is part of the RG 2.0 revamp and is essentially finished. The framework below reflects our design intent — full details and earning rates will be published when the system goes live. However, the game is not there yet and therefor we are not pursuing its implementation.
What is DKP?
DKP stands for Dragon Kill Points — a concept borrowed from classic MMO raiding, adapted for our org. The idea is simple: participation and contribution to the org earns you points, and points can be spent on access to org-managed assets, priority on events, or other perks defined by leadership.
It's designed to reward members who show up, do the work, and contribute to Rune Guard's success.
How to Earn DKP
Points are earned through active, meaningful contribution to the org. General categories include:
- Event Attendance — Points are awarded for contributing at hosted events
- Certification Progress — Higher Tier members earn more points making the most skilled members equipped properly.
- Org Support — Contributing to needed org resources, objectives, or administrative needs
- Promotion — Leadership may use promotions to help org goals. examples could be recruitment, tournements, inter-org activities, etc.
Tracking
DKP will be tracked and managed through our Discord and org administration tools. The Supervisor and Logistics roles play a key part in managing and distributing resources tied to the DKP system.
